A parent’s guide to DeenBloom
DeenBloom is intended for children and teens aged 4–18. Beginners of other ages, including new Muslims and reverts, can also learn with it. Use this guide to explore what it teaches and how it can fit into learning at home.
What children can explore
Topics include Islam basics, Qur’an basics, Arabic letters, Salah, fasting, Zakat and charity, Prophets, and women in Islamic history.
Arabic activities focus on recognising letters and hearing pronunciation. Qur’an basics introduce the Qur’an and its importance. These activities can accompany learning with a parent or teacher.
How lessons and quizzes work
Children work through short lessons and practise with multiple choice, true or false, matching and ordering questions. Audio support helps learners listen to questions. Progression, XP and rewards give children a way to follow their learning.
Try one topic together: listen or read, answer a few questions, then ask your child to explain one thing they learned. Revisit difficult questions at a pace that suits them.
Finding the right fit
Preview a lesson together to see how its vocabulary, reading level and question format suit your child. Younger learners may need help reading and using the app. The App Store age rating describes content suitability; it does not measure a child’s readiness for every lesson.
Devices and pricing
The released app is available for iPhone and iPad. The app is fully free, with no paid tiers. See the official App Store listing for device requirements, version details and privacy disclosures. An Android download is not currently linked on this website.
About the app and its content
The App Store identifies Duraan Ali as the developer. DeenBloom’s stated approach uses the Qur’an and authentic hadith as primary sources. For a question about a lesson or to report a correction, contact hello@deenbloom.com.
Read the privacy policy and App Store disclosures before deciding whether the app meets your family’s needs.
